It seems there was a bit of a mix-up during the Apple App Store review process. I must say, although I was initially maddened by the rejection, Apple was very quick to resolve the issue. I sent a rather stern reply last night around 11pm, and 12 hours later, the new version is live in the App Store. Boom!
